On the loose

11 months old and Cate is on the loose. Now you see her, now you don't. She moves FAST. Our home will never be the same.

food and fun

March maddness:
Cora is an art nut. Cate's 1st Spagetti and cracker obsession. Cliff and Cora sing "Butterfly fly away" making butterflies with their hands. If there is music, Cate is clapping.

1st Mac

We went for a lunch date at Great Maw Maw Cora's. We had not seen her since Christmas! Cate tasted her first Mac n Cheese and LOVED it. Great Maw Maw LOVED holding Cate and as always asking, "how are my girls?" Daffodil courtesy of Maw Maw Carol :) Cate 11 months tomorrow!

Cate's new ride

The girls have really loved being outdoors and riding their bike and car. Cate loves the push car and she laughs out loud and squeals when her sister pushes her fast! They are a hoot to watch. Cate's other big thing is to clap her hands when she hears music playing. These are the days......

Cousin Em

Cousin Em' came for a visit with Gramma Smith and Grandma Linda. As usual, they made cookies and a huge mess in the kitchen with Gramma. They rode bikes, had a picnic and went swimming at the Arc. It was Cate's first time swimming at almost 11 months old and she was not a huge fan. Grandpa Duane watched State Highschool Basketball games and bought a funny net hat. Cate looked pretty funny in it.

Eating snow at sunset

It was one of those wacky Missouri days where it was 70 degrees with a little snow left on the ground. We savored the day and topped it off with a bite of snow at sunset. Cate started it.

1st steps and peas

Cate had fun eating peas for the first time and was a little apprehensive about walking with the push toy. She made it 10 feet her first run. BIG GIRL! 10.75 months

St. Patrick's Parade KC

Aunt Bekah took us down to Northtown for a very busy and fun parade. The parade went on for over 2 hours. We snagged a bag of tootsie rolls from a float owner and well, from the pictures you can see we got a little loud. Let's just say, the song "Let me see your tootsie roll" came up and Bekah broke out into dance :) We are still eating those tootie rolls and it is now mid April as I write this!

After the parade, the cousins as always GOOFED OFF in their normal fashion.

Penguin Park

Cora did not remember Peguin Park from last year. She says to me, " Mom, the next time we come to Kansas City we HAVE TO come back to Penguin Park ". She looooooooved it. Just as I did as a kid. The weather was amazing for March at 65 degrees! Cate 10.5 months

Aunt Jean

Aunt Jean finally got to meet Cate! She thought she was really something! She said, "Your Grandpa would of had a time with you!" Aunt Jean just loved Cate's smile. Cora J ate at least 6 pieces of chocolate out of her candy bowl. It was so good to see Aunt Jean!

Maw Maw Carol's

Cate got a kick out of Maw Maw Carol's House now that she can move! She found the pantry, the stairs, and loved the bath. All Cora wanted to do was PLAY UPSTAIRS.
